Commends recipients of the 2011 Indiana Career and Technical Education Awards for Excellence, recognizing excellence in student achievement, programs, guidance/career services, partnerships, and outstanding contributions to career and technical education in Indiana.

Awards program, established in 1984 and sponsored by the Indiana Association for Career and Technical Education in cooperation with the Association for Career and Technical Education, recognizes award recipients through a competitive statewide selection process by a committee of career-technical educators and private sector representatives.

Recognizes 10 secondary student award recipients from various career centers and programs including entrepreneurship, culinary arts, health careers, and education professions.

Recognizes 12 postsecondary student award recipients from Ivy Tech Community College and Vincennes University in programs including medical assisting, nursing, aviation maintenance technology, and business administration.

Recognizes one postsecondary program award (Computer Integrated Manufacturing Technology at Vincennes University), two guidance/career services awards, four partnership awards, and one outstanding contributor (Mr. George Ridgway), with copies of the resolution to be transmitted to all recipients.
