Congratulates the Butler University Men's Basketball team for reaching the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament national championship game for the second consecutive year in 2011.

Recognizes Butler's historic tournament run, including victories over Old Dominion, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, Florida, and Virginia Commonwealth to reach the Final Four as an 8th seed.

Notes Butler is the smallest school by enrollment (4,200) to make the Final Four since tournament seeding began in 1979, and the first time two mid-major conference teams reached the Final Four since 1985 expansion.

Acknowledges the team's loss to University of Connecticut 53-41 in the national championship game, ending a 14-game winning streak.

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit a copy of the resolution to Head Coach Brad Stevens, assistant coaches, and all players on the Butler roster.
