Urges governing bodies of the Workforce Investment State Plan, Adult Basic Education State Plan, and Career and Technical Education State Plan to assess industry-recognized credentials for middle-skills occupations essential to Indiana's economy

Directs assessment bodies to identify gaps where training programs do not exist or fall short of preparing workers for specified credentials, and develop recommendations to close those gaps

Requests the Education Roundtable consider the importance of industry-recognized standards and alignment of education and training programs with these standards for middle-skills industry clusters

Urges the State Workforce Innovation Council to expand its Education Review Committee's purposes to include development, implementation, and review of career pathways and assessment of skill standards
