Cathedral High School Football team won the 2010 Class 4A state championship by defeating Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger 31-20 on November 27, 2010.

Quarterback Connor Barthel completed 23 of 34 passes for 335 yards and two touchdowns; receivers John Rice had 8 catches for 121 yards and Reece Horn had 6 receptions for 122 yards and a touchdown.

Cathedral's defense held Dwenger to 20 points despite Dwenger averaging 47 points per game in the regular season, forcing a fumble and holding Dwenger to field goals when they reached Cathedral's 20-yard line.

Connor Barthel was named winner of the Phil N. Eskew Mental Attitude Award, maintains a 3.6 GPA, has been on the honor roll every semester, and set a single season school record for passing yards.

Cathedral's championship was their third Class 4A title in five years, making them the fifth school to win eight or more state championships; the Senate directs the Secretary to transmit copies of the resolution to the head coach, athletic director, and school president.
