House Bill 1036 Summary

• Elevates intimidation to a Class C felony when the threat is communicated to a judge or bailiff of any court (previously Class D felony)

• Elevates intimidation to a Class C felony when the threat is communicated to a prosecuting attorney or deputy prosecuting attorney (previously Class A misdemeanor)

• Removes judges and bailiffs from the Class D felony provision and relocates them to the new Class C felony provision

• Effective July 1, 2012
