Limits onsite pharmacy audits by third-party payers to once per calendar year per pharmacy location and restricts initial audits to no more than 75 claims

Reduces the audit lookback period from 24 months to 18 months after a claim was submitted or adjudicated

Requires auditors to provide at least 60 days for pharmacies to appeal preliminary audit report findings and allows pharmacies to reschedule audits up to 14 days after the proposed date

Prohibits recoupment of dispensing fees when the pharmacy actually dispensed the prescribed drug or device, and requires at least 30 days to elapse after the final audit report before any recoupment can occur

Requires third-party payers to reimburse pharmacies $0.25 per prescription copy required for an audit and allows pharmacies to obtain corrected prescriptions from physicians when errors are identified during audits
