• Repeals IC 5-22-17-5.5, which prohibited state agencies from entering contracts with or making grants to entities that perform abortions or operate abortion facilities.

• Eliminates the requirement that state appropriations to abortion-performing entities be canceled and makes previously restricted funds available for payment.

• Removes the exception that previously allowed hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers licensed under IC 16-21-2 to receive state funds despite performing abortions.

• Effective date: July 1, 2012.
