HB 1115 Summary

• Requires parental or guardian written permission before spray tanning may be applied to any minor (person under 18 years of age).

• Mandates that a parent or guardian be physically present at the spray tanning facility when a minor's genitals, pubic area, buttocks, or breasts are fully or partially exposed during the procedure.

• Requires the spray tanning operator to be the same gender as the minor when spray tanning is applied to exposed intimate areas.

• Establishes penalties of a Class C infraction for a first violation and a Class B infraction for any second or subsequent violations.

• Takes effect July 1, 2012.
