Requires referendums on school corporation controlled projects (bonds or leases) to be held only at general elections if the preliminary determination is made after June 30, 2012

Requires referendums for school corporation referendum tax levies to be held only at general elections if the resolution is adopted after June 30, 2012

Eliminates the option to hold these referendums at primary elections, municipal elections, or special elections for determinations and resolutions made after June 30, 2012

Maintains existing referendum timing rules (primary, general, municipal, or special elections) for preliminary determinations and resolutions made before July 1, 2012

Effective date of July 1, 2012
