Requires Indiana state educational institutions to interview at least one qualified minority candidate when hiring for head coach positions of intercollegiate athletic teams or athletic director positions, effective July 1, 2012

Defines "minority candidate" as individuals identified as Black/African-American, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, American Indian, Alaska Native, or Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander

Provides an exception if the institution is unable to identify any qualified minority candidate willing to interview for the position

Establishes an affirmative defense for institutions that can demonstrate they made a good faith effort but could not identify a willing qualified minority candidate
