Establishes that law enforcement officers acting within the scope of their employment are immune from liability for any loss resulting from providing roadside assistance to motorists with disabled vehicles

Defines "roadside assistance" to include opening locked doors, providing battery jumps, changing flat tires, and supplying motor fuel

Defines "law enforcement officer" for this purpose as members of police departments, sheriff's departments, town police departments, and constable offices, including chiefs, sheriffs, marshals, and their deputies

Adds roadside assistance immunity to the existing list of governmental entity and employee liability exemptions under Indiana's tort claims act

Effective date: July 1, 2012
