HR 0003 Summary

• Urges the legislative council to create the Indiana Investment Exchange Committee to study the feasibility of establishing a local investment exchange in Indiana.

• Committee shall study the creation of a local investment exchange and relevant state and federal laws and regulations governing such exchanges.

• Committee shall recommend legislation for a regulatory framework including identification of the regulatory agency, staffing requirements, listing criteria for enterprises, officer appointment procedures, and indemnification policies.

• Committee membership consists of the Secretary of State (as chairperson), Director of the Department of Financial Institutions, and Chief Executive Officer of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.

• Committee shall operate under the legislative council's direction and issue a final report when directed by the council.
