Requires state employee health benefit plans, accident and sickness insurance policies, and health maintenance organization contracts to cover prescription smoking cessation drugs if they provide prescription drug benefits

Applies to plans issued, delivered, amended, or renewed after June 30, 2012, with an effective date of July 1, 2012

Prohibits dollar limits, deductibles, copayments, or coinsurance provisions for smoking cessation drugs that are less favorable than those applied to prescription drugs generally under the same plan

Defines "smoking cessation drug" as a prescription drug prescribed to assist an individual in ceasing use of smoking tobacco
