Extends Indiana higher education award eligibility to part-time students pursuing technical certificates, nursing diplomas, associate degrees, or first baccalaureate degrees, requiring enrollment in at least one class worth two or more credit hours

Establishes separate award duration limits for part-time students, allowing awards for the total number of semesters or quarters necessary to complete their program on a part-time basis, rather than the 8-semester/12-quarter cap for full-time students

Maintains GPA requirements for award renewal: satisfactory progress for freshman year, 2.25 GPA for sophomore year, and 2.5 GPA for junior/senior years on a 4.0 scale

Applies to students enrolling after June 30, 2012, with an effective date of July 1, 2012

Adds nursing diplomas as a newly recognized credential type for higher education award eligibility alongside technical certificates, associate degrees, and baccalaureate degrees
