Senate Bill 394 Summary

• Establishes the bicentennial conservation fund as a trust fund to celebrate 200 years of Indiana statehood through funding major conservation projects in the state.

• Fund is administered by the budget agency and may receive appropriations from the General Assembly, gifts, grants, and investment interest.

• Allows the Indiana natural and cultural resources foundation and the department of natural resources to transfer money to the bicentennial conservation fund with appropriate approval.

• Money in the fund is continuously appropriated for fund purposes and does not revert to the state general fund at the end of each fiscal year.

• Effective July 1, 2012.
