Proposes an amendment to Article 7 of the Indiana Constitution prohibiting the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Circuit Courts, and other state courts from issuing mandates, orders, or writs requiring the state or political subdivisions to spend money for court operations

Requires approval by two consecutive General Assemblies and ratification by a majority of Indiana voters to take effect

Introduced on January 4, 2012, and referred to the Senate Committee on Judiciary

Represents the first agreement by a General Assembly on this proposed constitutional amendment (not previously agreed to by a prior session)
