Urges the Legislative Council to establish an interim study committee to review explosive materials regulations in Indiana

Committee would examine whether Indiana should implement standards more stringent than the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Explosive Materials Code (NFPA 495)

Notes that Indiana currently incorporates NFPA standards limiting peak particle velocity to 1.25 in/sec and air overpressure to 134 decibels at adjacent buildings

Acknowledges that despite existing regulations, noise and vibration from blast sites have been disruptive to adjacent buildings in Indiana

Committee would operate under Legislative Council direction and issue a final report as directed by the council
