Urges the legislative council to establish an interim study committee to examine Common Core State Standards and their potential adoption in Indiana

Committee should compare Common Core State Standards to Indiana's current education standards to ensure they are at least equally rigorous

Committee should examine the implementation of currently adopted Common Core State Standards and the appropriateness of adopting future standards in Indiana

Committee should analyze the impact of national standards on locally developed education standards

Committee will operate under legislative council direction and issue a final report as directed by the council
