Urges the Interim Study Committee on Redistricting to hold at least three meetings in locations outside of Marion County to gather public input from across Indiana

The committee was formed in 2011 to study redistricting processes and make recommendations for improvements, including examining proposals to amend the Indiana Constitution to establish an independent redistricting commission

The committee previously met only twice in 2011, both times at the State House in Indianapolis

Recognizes the need for public education and dialogue on redistricting issues such as identifying communities of interest and ranking redistricting criteria

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit the resolution to the Legislative Council and Common Cause Indiana
