Urges the Governor to proclaim Community Foundations Day in honor of all community foundations throughout the state

Recognizes community foundations as instrumental in connecting donors to charitable causes and helping individuals, families, businesses, and nonprofits achieve their charitable goals

Notes that community foundations are locally-run organizations with low administrative costs that use asset earnings to fund programs while preserving underlying assets for future income

Identifies more than 650 community foundations operating throughout the United States to serve people and organizations in need

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit a copy of the resolution to the Governor
