Urges the Legislative Council to assign an interim study committee to examine extraterritorial jurisdiction granted to municipalities under IC 36-9-2-19

Addresses concern that municipalities can regulate conduct on property up to ten miles outside their corporate boundaries

Raises issue that Indiana citizens residing outside municipal boundaries lack representation in the governing bodies that adopt ordinances affecting them

Notes that many of these regulatory powers are also held by other state and local government units, creating redundant authority

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit the resolution to the Legislative Council through the Executive Director of the Legislative Services Agency
