• Amends IC 34-11-3-2 to establish when the statute of limitations begins for contesting a land survey.
• Statute of limitations starts running from the date a survey copy is provided to owners of contiguous property, rather than from the date the survey is completed.
• Survey copies must be provided to contiguous property owners using the same service methods prescribed in civil procedure rules for serving legal process.
• Does not require land surveyors or property owners to provide survey copies to contiguous property owners; providing copies is optional.
• Effective July 1, 2013.
