HB 1090 Summary

• Requires all deaths occurring in a county to be reported to the county coroner.

• Mandates the coroners training board to prescribe a standardized form to assist county coroners in determining whether to investigate reported deaths.

• Exempts coroners from following organ and tissue procurement procedures if the coroner determines that procurement will impede or interfere with a death investigation.

• Effective July 1, 2013.
