• Amends IC 25-26-13-16 to require pharmacists to offer assistance to patients in finding another pharmacy when the current pharmacy does not have a drug in stock or cannot fill a prescription in a timely manner.

• Changes gender-specific language in existing pharmacy statute from "his" to "the pharmacist's" for neutral phrasing.

• Applies only when a pharmacist cannot fill a prescription, subject to existing exemptions that allow pharmacists to refuse prescriptions in good faith on legal or safety grounds.

• Effective July 1, 2013.
