HEA 1246 Summary

• Exempts the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites Corporation from public works project prevailing wage requirements effective July 1, 2013.

• Changes the corporation's audit requirement from biennial to annual compliance audits by the state board of accounts.

• Makes the corporation subject to requirements under IC 5-16 (relating to state financial management).

• Expands the board's authority to improve, encumber, transfer, and convey historic property and artifacts, and allows the board to designate an existing nonprofit corporation as the Indiana State Museum Foundation instead of requiring establishment of a new subsidiary.
