IN HB1364

Prohibits students, former students, and parents from creating fake profiles, posting private/sexual information, or posting real or doctored images of school employees on Internet websites with intent to intimidate or torment.

Prohibits accessing, altering, or erasing computer networks, data, programs, or software belonging to school employees, and prohibits repeated electronic communications to school employees through computer systems.

Allows school employees subjected to cyberbullying to bring civil actions for injunctions and liquidated damages up to $1,000 against responsible students, former students, or parents.

Requires school corporations to include provisions prohibiting cyberbullying of school employees in their student discipline rules.

Effective July 1, 2013.
