Recognizes the Hawk Band Metis as the first organized Band of Metis in Indiana with history dating back to 1863.

Notes the organization currently has over 1,300 adult members and their children, with over 30 million Metis in America.

Acknowledges the group's efforts to preserve Metis history and culture from tribes including Ojibway, Chippewa, Cree, Sioux, and Cheyenne through traditions, ceremonies, and language.

Directs the Principal Clerk of the House to transmit a copy of the resolution to Terry Harris.
