Congratulates Rachel Houck, Mt. Vernon High School senior guard, on winning the Patricia L. Roy Mental Attitude Award in Class 3A Girls Basketball from the Indiana High School Athletic Association.

Recognizes Houck's basketball achievements including over 900 career points, 23-4 team record, 11.5 points and 4 assists per game average, school records for steals in a season and career, and two-time Hoosier Heritage All-Conference selection.

Notes Houck's academic excellence with a 3.8 grade point average in honors and advanced placement courses, ranking in the top 15% of her class, and leadership through three years at the IHSAA Student Leadership Conference.

Directs the Principal Clerk of the House to transmit copies of the resolution to Houck, her parents, Mt. Vernon High School staff, and administration.

Houck will attend the University of Louisville on a softball scholarship and plans to major in exercise science.
