IN HR0105

Urges the legislative council to assign the topic of volunteer firefighters holding elected office to an interim study committee for comprehensive examination.

Directs the study committee to determine how many people will be affected by issues related to volunteer firefighters holding elected office.

Requires the committee to examine staffing impacts on volunteer fire departments resulting from IC 3-5-9, which was enacted during the 2012 General Assembly.

Establishes that the committee shall operate under the direction of the legislative council and issue reports as directed by the council.
