Congratulates Candace Ewing, assistant principal of Snacks Crossing Elementary School in Indianapolis, on receiving the 2012 Milken Family Foundation Educator Award.

Recognizes that Ewing exemplifies the qualities required for the award: exceptional innovation, management skills, communication skills, motivational skills, and leadership skills.

Notes that 57 Indiana teachers have received the Milken Award since the state joined the program in 1993, with 40 recipients selected nationwide annually.

Acknowledges Ewing's contributions including innovative teaching methods, creation of summer reading videos to improve test scores, mentoring teachers on data-based instruction, and curriculum development work with the Indiana Partnership for Young Writers.

Directs the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives to transmit a copy of the resolution to Candace Ewing.
