IN SB0102

Prohibits public employers (state and political subdivisions) from compensating public employees for performing labor organization activities, effective July 1, 2013.

Eliminates previous language allowing school employers and public employers to permit employees to conduct union activities during working hours without loss of time or pay.

Establishes that public employees may only be compensated for duties and activities that directly and primarily benefit their employer or the general public.

Authorizes the attorney general or any taxpaying state resident to file civil actions seeking injunctions and restraining orders to enforce these provisions.

Grants all taxpaying residents standing to intervene in legal challenges to the bill's validity.
