Senate Bill No. 122 Summary

• Amends Indiana Code IC 20-33-8-32 to permit law enforcement officers to enter school facilities with bomb or narcotics detecting animals for detection purposes.

• Allows law enforcement animals to attempt to detect bombs or narcotics within school facilities when authorized by the jurisdiction's law enforcement agency.

• Requires the law enforcement officer controlling the animal to ensure the animal's presence does not unduly disrupt normal school operations.

• Effective July 1, 2013.
