Senate Bill 301 Summary

• Requires child care providers receiving Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) voucher payments to use a curriculum complying with the Department of Education's Foundations to the Indiana Academic Standards for Young Children (or successor standards).

• Mandates providers maintain documentation of daily curriculum implementation with each child in their care.

• Requires providers to document training for the individual directing the child care program and each supervising caregiver on the Department of Education's Foundations to the Indiana Academic Standards for Young Children (or successor standards).

• Applies to all providers receiving voucher payments under the CCDF, including home-based child care licensed under IC 12-17.2-5.

• Effective July 1, 2013.
