Senate Bill 565 Summary

• Establishes the Division of Lottery Security within the Indiana Gaming Commission, transferring all powers, duties, and employees from the State Lottery Commission's existing Division of Security effective January 1, 2014.

• Creates the position of Lottery Internal Auditor within the Indiana Gaming Commission, transferring the State Lottery Commission's internal auditor and audit staff to the Gaming Commission with responsibility for conducting financial, compliance, operational, and performance audits.

• Requires the State Lottery Commission to reimburse the Indiana Gaming Commission quarterly for all costs incurred by the Division of Lottery Security and the Lottery Internal Auditor in carrying out their duties.

• Mandates the State Lottery Commission provide the Division of Lottery Security and Lottery Internal Auditor with full, free, and unrestricted access to all activities, records, property, and personnel of the lottery commission.

• Extends the powers and responsibilities of both the Division of Lottery Security and Lottery Internal Auditor to any entity that has entered into an integrated services provider contract with the State Lottery Commission.
