Senate Bill No. 610 Summary

• Allows individuals to obtain unpasteurized milk from animals that are solely or partially owned by the individual, members of the individual's family, or the individual's employer.

• Permits distribution of unpasteurized milk obtained from personally owned animals to family members or nonpaying guests.

• Exempts unpasteurized milk obtained under these conditions from pasteurization requirements otherwise mandated by Indiana Code 15-18-1-21.

• Effective date: July 1, 2013.
