Congratulates Dr. John G. Ellis, III on his retirement after over 30 years in school administration, including 20 years as a superintendent in Indiana (8 years in Jennings County Schools and 12 years with Noblesville Schools)

Recognizes Dr. Ellis as Indiana's Superintendent of the Year in 2004 and recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash award from Governor Kernan that same year

Acknowledges his service as Executive Director of the Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents since 2004 and his receipt of the Distinguished Service Award in 2009

Notes his contributions as a presenter at state and national conferences including the National School Boards Association and American Association of School Administrators

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit a copy of the resolution to Dr. Ellis
