Senate Concurrent Resolution Summary

• Urges the Indiana Department of Transportation to designate the portion of Interstate 69 south of Interstate 465 as the Iraq Afghanistan Veterans Memorial Highway.

• Recognizes Indiana military personnel who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, noting that over 14,000 Indiana Army Guard soldiers and over 3,200 Indiana Air Guard airmen have supported operations since September 11, 2001.

• Directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit copies of the resolution to the INDOT commissioner, Indiana Adjutant General, and state commanders of American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and AMVETS.
