Hoosier Hills Food Bank (HHFB) was founded November 18, 1982 in Bloomington, Indiana and has distributed over 38 million pounds of food in 30 years.

HHFB serves 25,800 clients annually across 8 counties (Brown, Crawford, Greene, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe, Orange, and Owen) and distributes goods to 94 non-profit member agencies including food pantries, soup kitchens, and homeless shelters.

The organization rescues over 273,000 pounds of food monthly and distributes approximately 6 tons daily, with food distribution doubling since 2006.

HHFB operates multiple programs including Families First Mobile Pantry (serving 300 Lawrence County residents), Food Rescue & Repack, Garden & Gleaning, and emergency food assistance programs, supported by 3,000+ annual volunteers.

The Senate congratulates HHFB on 30 years of public service and directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit a resolution copy to HHFB during Hunger Awareness Day at the Statehouse.
