Recognizes Judge Peter Nemeth upon his retirement on December 31, 2012, after over 20 years of public service in the South Bend, Indiana area

Honors his service as South Bend City Council member for four years (three as Council President) and as Mayor of South Bend at age 33, during which he helped develop Century Center, the 1st Source Bank/Marriott Hotel building, and expanded the Potawatomi Zoo

Acknowledges his service as Judge of the St. Joseph Probate Court beginning in 1993, where he oversaw the design, construction, and opening of the $20 million, 144,000 square foot St. Joseph County Juvenile Justice Center

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit a copy of the resolution to Judge Peter J. Nemeth
