Indiana General Assembly honors 12-year-old Tony Buuck for rescuing his 8-year-old sister Sammy from a frozen pond without regard for his own safety.

Tony held onto his sister in nine-foot-deep water after falling in while attempting to pull her out, then helped guide their father to shore with his sister.

After being pulled to shore, Tony ran to call 911 and relayed CPR instructions from the dispatcher to his father, who administered life-saving CPR to Sammy.

The resolution recognizes Tony Buuck as a "true Hoosier hero" for his decisive actions that saved his sister's life.

Copies of the resolution are to be transmitted to Tony Buuck and his family by the Secretary of the Senate.
