Indiana General Assembly congratulates the Bedford North Lawrence High School girls basketball team on winning the Class 4A State Championship with a 54-51 victory over Fort Wayne South Side Archers.

The team finished undefeated with a 28-0 record and defeated Roncalli Rebels 62-51 in overtime to reach the state finals.

This championship marks the school's first girls basketball state championship since 1991 and the third in school history.

Key team members included sophomores Alexa Bailey and Dominique McBryde (19 points each in championship game), junior Brittani Rizzi (82 three-pointers, state leading), and senior Carli Fields (IHSAA Patricia L. Roy Mental Attitude Award).

Team was coached by Kurt Godlevske with offensive assistance from Damon Bailey, a former Indiana University basketball star and school graduate; Secretary of Senate directed to transmit copy to team members, coaches, and athletic administrators.
