Urges the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) to review and study expanding mass transit throughout Indiana

Specifically requests evaluation of the mass transit proposal supported by the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce

Cites concerns including high gasoline prices creating hardships for suburban commuters, traffic congestion on highways leading into cities, and lack of transit access to entry-level jobs in urban areas

Recognizes mass transit as necessary for residents who cannot otherwise travel around cities to become self-sufficient

Directs the Secretary of the Senate to transmit copies of the resolution to the INDOT commissioner
