Senate Resolution recognizes the 100th anniversary of the Hawthorne Arbor of Gleaners, a community service organization.

Gleaner Arbors operate in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Nebraska, and Ohio, promoting community involvement through service projects and group activities.

Hawthorne Arbor has supported local organizations including Cedar Lake Volunteer Fire Department, Historical Society, Lake County 4-H, Relay for Life, ARC Bridges, Food Pantry, and St. Jude House.

Organization maintained Freedom Park and supported Halstead House 4-H in 2010 and celebrated its centennial with a community potluck picnic featuring fishing, wagon rides, games, and bingo.

Secretary of the Senate directed to transmit a copy of the resolution to Dan Sutton.
