Urges the Indiana Legislative Council to assign an interim study committee to examine volunteer firefighters holding elected office and funding/training for volunteer fire departments

Directs the committee to determine how many people would be affected by rules regarding volunteer firefighters holding elected office

Requires study of staffing impacts on volunteer fire departments under IC 3-5-9, enacted during the 2012 General Assembly

Mandates examination of issues related to funding and training for volunteer fire departments

Committee would operate under Legislative Council direction and issue reports as directed
