Allows a guardian of an incapacitated person to request court permission to file a petition for dissolution of marriage on behalf of the protected person.

Court may grant permission only if the guardian proves by preponderance of evidence that dissolution of marriage is in the best interests of the protected person.

Guardian cannot delegate the power to request permission to file a dissolution petition and must be named in the petition.

Guardian must file a copy of the court order granting permission along with the dissolution petition.

Extends these provisions to volunteer advocates for senior programs and volunteer advocates for incapacitated adults programs, effective July 1, 2014.
