HEA 1041 Summary

• Amends IC 33-42-4-1 to add the adjutant general of the Indiana National Guard to the list of individuals authorized to subscribe and administer oaths and take acknowledgments of documents.

• Allows the adjutant general to designate specific active duty members, reserve duty members, or civilian employees of the Indiana National Guard to administer oaths and take acknowledgments.

• Authority granted to Indiana National Guard personnel is limited to purposes related to the service of active or reserve duty members of the Indiana National Guard.

• Effective date: July 1, 2014.
