Reduces the offense of knowingly or intentionally possessing a firearm in or on school property, on property being used by a school for a school function, or on a school bus from a Level 6 felony to a Class A misdemeanor, effective July 1, 2014.

Defines "school property" for firearm possession purposes as a building or structure owned or rented by a school and used exclusively for a school function, excluding adjacent grounds.

Creates exemptions from the firearm possession prohibition for individuals who may legally possess firearms and store them locked in a vehicle trunk, glove compartment, or out of plain sight in a locked motor vehicle.

Removes employer authority to adopt policies prohibiting employees from possessing firearms or ammunition in locked vehicles on school property or at school functions, while preserving employer authority to prohibit possession at the employer's residence.

Requires non-school property used for school functions to be posted with conspicuous notice, used exclusively by the school, and not accessible to the general public during the school function.
