HEA 1052 Summary

• Amends Indiana Code Section 36-7-30.1-1 to expand the definition of "military base" for local government purposes, effective July 1, 2014
• Defines a military base as a U.S. government military installation with at least 60,000 acres used for design, construction, maintenance, and testing of electronic devices and ordnance
• Extends the definition to include additional geographic areas of at least 400 acres that a military base uses for the same purposes described above
• Applies to local government regulations and policies affecting military installations in Indiana
