HB 1081 Summary

• Prohibits the sale and application of coal tar pavement products (tar formed from distillation of bituminous coal) effective after June 30, 2014

• Allows coal tar pavement products only for research purposes studying environmental effects

• Adds new definition of "coal tar pavement product" to Indiana Code 13-11-2-30.5 as material containing coal tar distillate intended for pavement application

• Amends IC 13-30-2-1 to add coal tar pavement product restrictions as part of existing environmental pollution prohibitions

• Effective July 1, 2014
