HB 1103 Summary

• Amends IC 36-6-4-13 to require township executives to prepare an annual abstract of receipts and expenditures showing fund balances, money received and paid, and statements of receipts and expenditures.

• Changes the publication deadline from within four weeks after the third Tuesday following the first Monday in January to the third Tuesday following the first Monday in February.

• Requires the published abstract to state that a complete annual report and vouchers have been filed with the county auditor and that the township legislative body chairman has a copy available for taxpayer inspection.

• Makes violations a Class C infraction.

• Effective January 1, 2014 (retroactive) with an emergency declaration.
